Autumn Pictures

I think I’ve gone crazy with my new phone/new camera. I’ve always thought that the camera is one of the best aspects of a phone, but with getting a new phone and then autumn coming around, and everything so gloriously autumn, I’ve taken too many pictures to count.

I hope you enjoy looking at some bits of beauty I’ve seen this season. ❤

My friend who I went hiking with has weirdly perfect hands unlike me. So I gave her this leaf and took that picture haha. The path we took was apparently an overgrown golf course, so it was paved and had fun little bridges throughout, but the grass was marvelously high.

We climbed up around a small waterfall, found a circle of extremely well constructed stone chairs (a family member wondered if someone had a lot of spare time during quarantine) and then beyond a very small completely unplanned path that led to a not-a-trail.

In the same vicinity we found the most gloriously twisted and foreboding tree. (aaaaahhh isn’t it glorious??)

There is a story in that tree and I want to know what it is.

My mom has been letting me light a candle when I do school and a friend I gave one to recently said something about candles being for the company so I made that for her.

Every day at a very particular time small rainbows make little journeys across our carpet. They’re there. Then they’ve vanished. Then a minute later you find it moved behind a table. Then on the wall. Then back by where you’re sitting, but stretched thin. I’ve started sitting on the floor doing my chemistry there so I can watch them.

More leaves. One sunny day. One rainy day.

Actually I’ve been collecting and laminating some leaves as bookmarks and for pages in my poetry journal. It’s been a very interesting study.

(laminating them keeps the color permanent)

I rearranged my recently to accommodate my growing family of plants. I moved my desk against the wall by the window and gave the sunny perch to some of my plants. Every morning it starts with the sun coming through the blinds.

(and pictured there is my painting titled Dawn which I didn’t realize how fitting that was until just now haha)

And a very red bush outside our dining room window…

My friend and I decided that if we had seasonal super powers, mine would come in Autumn and hers in Summer. We tried to figure out people we know and who would be winter and who would be spring. Out of which I now want to write a story.

Which was your favorite picture? If you had seasonal super powers, which season would it be and what would you do with them?

Have a lovely Saturday!

  2. Wow, all of your pictures are so good! The scenery is just so pretty! ❤ Where I live, we don't get Autumns like that.
I would want to write that story too if I had the idea! I think I'd be either Spring or Summer. I hope I am Summer cause I love Summer the best. But it depends on how the superpowers work.

    1. Isn’t it beautiful? ❤
Aww I am sorry to hear that. I don't know if I could manage not living somewhere with good autumns.
Hahahaha I'll let you know if I never get around to it, and you can write it instead. 😉
I honestly don't know how the superpowers work. I had a vague idea the exact powers would personify the mood/personality of each season but they would also be seasonal in the fact they fade in and die out with that particular season. It's still a very rough picture in my mind though.

      1. Yeah, it is fine. The weather is really nice for Autumn I think, but it just doesn’t get really pretty like yours.
Oh, cool! Thank you! *ignores the piles of story ideas that will probably last me a lifetime*
Hey, that idea sounds cool so far!

        1. HAHA. Me too, my friend, me too. How could one live without a lifetime supply of story ideas?
          *laughs nervously*
*pats the pile and hopes it doesn’t collapse and kill me*
Hey, thanks! Hopefully it will grow in splendor and its coolness shall increase abundantly.
